Merah jambu*
So, I dyed my hair pink today. I was going to keep it a secret to surprise the folks back home, but I couldn’t keep it to myself. It is by far the most exciting thing to happen today, and I’m still super razzed.
I dyed a streak in my fringe, and some smaller streaks in the back, at the nape of my neck. These are the colours I used:
I used more Pretty Flamingo than Raspberry Beret, and it turned out pretty cool. And now I’m hooked. If it weren’t so high maintenance and finicky to do on my own, I’d have my whole head pink! Seriously. I’m 21! When else am I going to do this? IT’S LIFE JUMP INTO LIFE!
Sorry, I’ll calm down. But see, here is my dilemma. I do want more of my hair pink now, and I have enough bleach and colour to do so. I’m thinking another slice in my fringe. But I want a second opinion. But I can’t get that unless you guys see the hair. BUT I can’t post a picture of the hair because of the surprise factor. I AM TORN AND IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION.
Less is more? More is more? I don’t know. Ngh.
* This is the Malay word for pink. It literally translates to red (merah) guava (jambu). It possibily refers to the colour of these fruits (jambu air in Malay, “love apple” (?) in English)
I came for cute hair pictures. Leaving disappointed.

Madelyn and Cadiz: I was all set to JUMP but my assistant has come down with a throat infection. Any life jumping is to be postponed to tomorrow. Anti-climactic, but what’re ya gonna do? There will certainly be pictures (but after I get home, which will be 2nd of December) as I am taking one every few minutes, cause I’m riding high on the New Hair Do wave.

I was bloghopping and I found you! That’s so random and awesome.
I can’t imagine you with pink hair, I wanna see!! I blame Sri Aman for not letting me jump into life. I wanted purple hair then, it doesn’t work now that the spontaneity has gone for me.

Anis: HI! Yay! I’m glad you found me. That IS random and awesome. I’ll be putting up pictures next week, so you’ll be able to see them online, but hopefully I’ll see you sometime during my two and a half month stay at home, yes? I’m flying back next Wednesday. I think you told me about wanting purple hair. Did you ever have streaks during the holidays? Cause I can totally imagine you with purple hair. I’m very glad to have crossed this off my to-do list. You should still do it, now that you have the chance!
